Would you like to transfer or modify your registration? Are you withdrawing from the event due to an injury? On this page, you will find all the important information and assistance to make your online registration as smooth as running a great half marathon.

Online registration

To facilitate registration for our events, we provide the option of online registration. There are numerous advantages to this, which we summarize here:

  • After registration, you can register for BSI events more quickly and easily. You only need to enter your details during registration, and you won’t have to enter your name and address again for future registrations.
  • You can log in using your email address and password.
  • The registration fee can be paid online using a card that supports online payments.
  • The system will calculate the registration fee for you, so you don’t need to do any calculations.
  • You will receive immediate confirmation of your registration, and you can also download the confirmation in your „Profile” at „Entries” which means you have successfully registered for the event.
  • You can check your existing registrations and see which events you have registered for, as well as registrations made by others.
  • If there are any changes, you can easily modify your details, except for your name and date of birth.

If you haven’t used our online registration system before, please read the following details about what we mean by online registration:

We consider a registration to be online registration only if a user who has logged in to the website https://entry.runinbudapest.com completes the registration process and pays the registration fee using a card that supports online payments. Without this, the registration is invalid.

For online registration, you first need to register yourself on this website. The system will send a confirmation email to the email address you provide. In the future, you can log in using your email address and password.

If you have previously registered and have a username, please enter your email address on the following page, which you can use as your username.

You only need to register once, and then a single click will be enough for subsequent registrations. The system will automatically display the current registration fee for the selected events.

The following fee categories are available in the online system:

  • Standard: The regular fee without any discounts for the specified deadline.
  • Student: This fee is available for participants under 16 years old or those who have a valid student ID card. You will need to present a valid student ID card when collecting your race number.
  • Returnee (only for Vivicittá, Autumn Half Marathon, and Budapest Marathon): This fee applies to participants who have previously participated in at least one BSI event, indicated by their identification number.
  • CEE members – Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine.

    Members of running clubs from the above countries are eligible for the discounted entry fee. Proof of membership must be presented upon bib pick-up.

Other pricing categories are personalized and are visible only to participants with specific discount codes.

Please note that when you access the online portal, you can register not only yourself but also others if they are already in the system. If not, you need to register them first.

Once you have completed all the registrations, only the payment remains. After clicking the payment button, the system will redirect you to the secure page of simplepay, where you can pay the registration fee(s) by providing your card details.

Please ensure that your card is suitable for online payments. If you see „Successful payment” at the end of the transaction, you will soon receive a confirmation email in your inbox. You can also download the confirmation in the „Registrations” section, which means you have successfully registered for the event. Remember that you can only register for the registration fee valid on the day of payment.

Withdrawal from the event

If you are unable to attend an event, you have the option to cancel your registration. In this case, the paid entry fee will not be forfeited, it may be partially used until the end of the year following the cancellation.

You can withdraw from the race according to the following deadlines:

If you withdraw from the race at least six weeks before the event, the paid entry fee will be credited to your account after deducting 5 EUR handling fee.

If you withdraw from the race within six weeks of the event but no later than Wednesday midnight of the week of the event, the paid entry fee will be credited to your account after deducting 20% handling fee.
In both cases, the credited amount may be used to pay the entry fee for our other events, until December 31 of the year following the cancellation.

It is also important that in case of an early cancellation, entry fees of 5 EUR or less will be credited fully to the account of the participant.

If the entire team withdraws from the event, the handling fee—depending on the time of the withdrawal—will be deducted from every member of the team, and the remaining amount will be credited to the account of the member who originally paid the entry fees for the entire team.

In case of fitness events, we do not accept cancellations given that the entry tickets are transferrable, even if the ticket holder’s name is on them. We do not accept withdrawals from our instant and virtual events because those distances can be completed any time until the registration period ends.
In cases other than normal (“force majeure”) the rules of the General Terms and Conditions apply.

Steps of withdrawal for individual participants:

  1. Go to the Entries and click on “Actual entries”, then find the race you would like to withdraw from. Click on the “Resign” button.
  2. After the cancellation, the remaining amount will be credited to your account under “Coupons”.
  3. Every participant may only cancel their own registration, regardless of who paid for the entry.


Steps of withdrawal for teams:

  1. Go to the Entries then find the race you would like to withdraw from. Click on the “Resign” button.
  2. After the cancellation, the remaining amount will be credited to your account under Coupons.
  3. Team registrations may only be cancelled by the person who signed up the entire team for the race. After the cancellation, the remaining amount will be credited to his/her account.
  4. In case of teams, a 5 EUR or 20% handling fee will be deducted from every member of the team.


Steps to make changes to the team members or relay order:

  1. Go to the Entries then find the team you would like to make changes to. Click on “Edit” to make modifications to the members or their order.
  2. Only the person who paid the entry fees for the team may make changes to the members.


Entry fees are non-refundable!

Transferring and modifying registrations

At BSI events, it is not allowed to transfer or sell entry tickets to other participants!

We are unable to transfer entries to another person under any circumstances, neither before nor after the event.

Given that the transfer of entries is not allowed, if you have already signed up for an event but you are unable to attend it, you may withdraw from it.

Changing the distance at event:

If you have already signed up for an event but would like to change the distance to a shorter or longer one, you may take the following steps:

You must withdraw from the original distance. Part of the paid entry fee (depending on the time of the withdrawal, see: Terms and Conditions of Withdrawal) will be credited to your account. After this, you may sign up for the new distance and pay the current entry fee for that distance. You may do this until the end of the pre-registration period, but only in case the registration for that distance has not been closed due to the limitation of the number of participants.

Steps of changing the distance on the spot, at the “Help” desk:

You must fill out a new registration form for the other distance.

You may only change the distance if the bib and the race package for the original distance have not been picked up yet or you drop them off upon the modification of the entry.

On the spot, you will not be able to use your account balance and any difference in the entry fees will not be credited to your account either.

Team member modification

If you only want to modify a team member or the order:

In the „Entries” menu, locate the team for which you want to change a member. Click on the „Modify” button to replace the team member or change the order. Only the person who made the payment can modify the team members.

Registration confirmation

After the payment is completed, the online registration system automatically sends a confirmation email to the provided email address. However, you can also download the confirmation in the „Entries” menu.

If you are logged into your account and registering someone else, the confirmation email will be sent to the email address of the person you registered.

When registering as a team, only the person handling the registration will receive the confirmation.

Important! Some email systems  may not deliver the confirmation email to the primary inbox but instead route it to the promotions folder or spam folder. Please check these folders if you haven’t received the confirmation email.

 

Invoice request

For online payments, the system automatically generates an invoice with the provided name and address on the platform and sends it to the provided email address.

payment methods

Regardless of the chosen payment method, please remember that you can only register for the current entry fee valid on the day of payment.

Of course, at the events, you can also pre-register in cash at the information tent for our upcoming events or purchase products offered by BSI.

You can pay with Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, MaestroCard, or credit card at the information tent during the events. With an embossed credit card, embossed bank card, or online bank card (accepted card types: Visa, MasterCard), you can not only pay in person but also take advantage of online registration. Don’t hesitate to use your card, as when making online payments, you will need to provide your data on a secure website.
